Human Trafficking Conference

 

The Federal Bureau of Investigation identified Minneapolis as one of 13 cities with a high concentration of criminal enterprises promoting juvenile commercial sexual exploitation. read more

The University of Nebraska-Lincoln was proud to host The First Annual Interdisciplinary Conference on Human Trafficking. This conference was made possible through the interdisciplinary collaboration of the College of Business Administration, College of Arts and Sciences, College of Journalism, University of Nebraska-Lincoln Libraries and the Department of Academic Conferences.

Dr. Kevin Bales was the Keynote Speaker; Dr. Bales is one of the world's leading experts on modern slavery and child trafficking. He is President the of Free the Slaves, the US Sister organization of Anti-Slavery International (the world's oldest human rights organization).
